With thirteen years of tenure at Martin Ray, Winemaker Bill Batchelor brings a collaborative approach to the winemaking process. He has assembled a trusted core team based on the skills and raw intuition each brings to the table. Bill draws on a blend of small-scale and high volume winery experience that supports Courtney’s vision for Martin Ray Winery to make great wines at several price points. In Bill’s own words “As a winemaker the best part of my job is to be able to cherry-pick grapes and make wine from what we feel are the best AVA’s in California.”
For the past five years, Winemakers Bill and Lindsey Haughton have been teaming up to produce a portfolio of consistently great wines. Although we are known for our Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, the team also crafts unique wines from Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Zinfandel. The quality is evident throughout our portfolio of wines and we think you will agree once you taste.
